PERSONAL
The Rev. G. F. W. Oulds, of Matamata, has returned after a nine months’ visit to England. For three months Mr Oulds took charge of the parish of Bartholme, in the diocese of Lincoln, and also worked in other parts of England. Dr. C. Edgar Ford, Trinity College examiner, London, will be in Hamilton from November 27 until December, conducting practical examinations in music and elocution. From Hamilton he will go to Auckland to conduct supplementary examinations. The Bishop of Melanesia, the Rt. Rev. W. H. Baddeley, will arrive in the Dominion early in the New Year to attend the General Synod, after which he will return to tne Islands. Mr H. S. Robinson, general secretary and treasurer of the diocese, will arrive at Auckland from Sydney by the Mariposa on Friday.
The Rev. S. R. Wareing, who was in New Zealand from 1026 to 1946, has accepted the living of Pedmore, Stourbridge. Since his return to England from the Dominion he has been curate ol Hagiey, ,;ear Wolverhampton. During his 10 years in New Zealand, Mr Wareing was vicar of Te Awamutu, and chaplain of the Waikeria Institute and the Tokanui Mental Hospital.
