INQUEST ADJOURNED CONDITION OF COUPLE (By Telegraph—press Association) AUCKLAND, Tuesday An inquest concerning the death of Mrs Beatrice Florence Rita Laurie, who was found dead at her home at Belmont yesterday, was opened today before the coroner, Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M. Evidence of identification was given by William Henry Wheeler, master plumber of Takapuna, who said deceased was his sister and was 39 years of age. He last saw her alive at Takapuna about six weeks ago. The inquest was adjourned sine die. The condition of Mr Francis Leonard Laurie, who was admitted to hospital yesterday after being found in a bedroom of the Station Hotel with his wrist gashed, is reported today to be satisfactory. That of Mrs Annie Josephine Laycoch. who also was admitted to hospital with her wrist gashed, was at first serious but improved yesterday afternoon. The improvement has not been maintained.
