Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held -their usual fortnightly sale at Te Kuiti on November 3, when a small yarding of sheep and a full entry of cattle were offered to a bench ,of local Taumarunui and Waikato buyers. Sheep attracted keen competition and all classes showed an advance on late rates. The enquiry for cattle was good, more attention than usual being paid to females. Bidding was brisk throughout and practically the entire yarding changed . hands at auction. Quotations: —Fat and forward woolly wethers, 255; forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers, shorn, 19s sd; medium fat ewes, shorn, 10s to 12s; heavy, 15s; good shorn 2-tooth ewes, 245; good shorn 2-tooth wethers, 17s Id; woolly B. F. 2-tooths fat and forward, 18s Id; aged ewes, with 90 per cent lambs at foot, 13s 5d all counted. Heavy fat heifers, £ll 15s; light fat cows, £5 10s; good empty Polled Angus cows and heifers, £5 15s; empty Shorthorn cows, £4 10s to £5; store Jersey cows, £3 5s to £3 10s; boners, £2 to £2 15s; good 3-year medium Polled Angus steers, £8 4s to £8 6s; medium and lighter conditioned, £7 10s; small, £6 ss; medium 2-year Polled Angus steers, £5 11s; small, £4 12s; good yearling Hereford steers, £3 10s; small, £2 5s to £2 12s 6d; good yearling Hereford heifers, £3 Is; medium, £2 11s; small, £2; empty 2-year Jersey heifers, £3 15s; 3-year Jersey Shorthorn cross steers, £5; poor conditioned, £3 11s; small, £2 15s; good purebred 2-year Polled Angus Bulls, lOgns to 14gns.
