MR FRED IRWIN FAREWELL*® The members of the Otorohanga postal staff met or. Thursday to bid farewell to Mr Fred Irwin, who is on transfer to Levin, after many years’ residence at Otorohanga. Mr Ingram, formerly postmaster at Otorohanga, but now of Te Kuiu, made the presentation on behalf ol the staff, of a set of military bah" brushes, to Mr Irwin, and eulogised the good work the guest of the ing had done over a long period, when in charge of the PotX wm Telegraph staff, and also his valuable assistance in all forms of sports and field pastimes. Several other similar functions were tendered to Mr Irwin by apart* bodies.
