CAMBRIDGE SALE The New Zealand Loan and Mercontile Agency Company, Ltd., Hamilton, report as follows on their Cambridge sale held yesterday:— Cattle: A full yarding of cattle was penned, fat cattle showing a slight decline on Frankton rates, boners, yearling Jersey heifers and dairy cattle meeting with good competition. We quote: Light-weight fat bullocks, £9 15s to £lO 2s 6d; heavy fat Jersey cows, £6 to £7; medium Jersey cows, £5 to £5 15s; light fat cows and heifers, £4 10s to £5 12s; killable cows, £3 15s to £4 ss; boner cows, £3 to £3 10s; best Yearling Jersey heifers, £4 10s to £5 8s; others, £3 7s 6d to £4; yearling Hereford heifers, £2 3s; yearling mixed coloured steers, £2; best dairy cows, £9 to £l2; best dairy heifers, £8 to £9 15s; bulls, £6 to £8; shorn fat hoggets 235, woolly 24s 3d. Pigs: A full yarding of fat and store pigs were penned and met with keen competition at rates fully up to those of recent sales. A good proportion of baconers sold well at prices ranging up to £3 17s. Porkers also were well in demand at £2 15s. We quote:— Heavy baconers £3 12s to £3 17s, medium £3 5s to £3 18s, light £2 18s to £3 3s; heavy porkers, £2 10s to £2 15s, medium £2 5s to £2 8s; large stores £1 16s to £2 2s, medium £1 10s to £1 15s, weaners 15s to £1 2s; sows, due to farrow, to £3 12s. TE KUITI YARDING Abraham and Williams, Limited, report as follows on their Te Kuiti sale on November 3:—We had a small entry of sheep and a full yarding of cattle and have to report a good sale for all classes. There was a good attendance and buyers were in the mood to operate freely with the result that values for sheep hardened and cattle were firm on late rates. We quote:— Shorn two-tooth wethers, 15s lOd to 16s 6d; Polled Angus cows with calves, fairly good quality, £5 8s to £5 10s; good class empty Polled Angus cows, £5 to £5 2s; rough store cows, £3 to £4; empty three-year Polled Angus heifers, £4 12s 6d; twoyear Polled Angus heifers, £4; yearling do, £2 19s; good two-year Polled Angus steers, £6 14s; rough sorts, £4 4s; £4 6s to £5; rough quality yearling Polled Angus steers, £3 7s; yearling Jersey heifers, medium quality, £3 7s to £3 16s; small sorts, £2 8s to £3; medium quality dairy cows made £5 5s to £5 15s; Polled Angus bulls, £6 15s to £B- - cows, £2 12s, £3 to £3 10s.
