FATALLY SHOT

MISHAP WITH RIFLE (By Telegraph.—Press Association) TIMARU, Monday Denis John Cremin, aged 5, died in hospital this afternoon as the result of a wound in the abdomen received from the accidental discharge of a rifle. The boy, with his parents, was visiting friends in the country and while the boy was being shown the rifle it accidentally discharged. An operation proved unsuccessful.
