Tahiti showed dash over five furlongs on the plough in 1.3. After running the flrst two in 245, Tavern Gay and King Louis were together at the end of hair-a-mile in sis, both •working well, particularly the former. Birthday Boy ran bis last six rurlongs comfortably in 1.22. Pleuron was just in front of Glen Connel at the finish or a similar distance in 1.15, the flrst three taking 36 3-ss. Glen Connel got a couple of lengths the worst of the start. Valsstar hit out over six,in 1.15 1-5, the flrst three in 35 4-ss. Hot Box, Veritable and Tellsom were together at the end of a similar distance in 1.17, time upon which they could have improved. Of the trio Tellsom appeared to be going the easiest. Queen City hit out well over three Turolngs in 373 and gave the impression she could have done a little better. Yallmeen did hair-a-mlle in 50 2-ss, working well, tbe flrst three occupying 36 Estro and Kentucky were together at the end or three in 37 l-ss, the former working well. Broil wen showed dash while sprinting three furlongs In 365, doing her work attractively. Lapadarian and Inquisitor were responsible for an excellent schooling bout over six hurdles, the latter shaping particularly well Tor a novice. „ , Sly Fox and Blonde Princess were scratched for all engagements at the Avondale meeting at noon to-day. D6 \iram dropped dead after working at Avondale this morning.
