HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL JJOROUGH OF HAMILTON. PROPOSED SEWER DRAINAGE LOAN (1939) £IO,OOO. Notice is hereby given that the Hamilton Borough Council proposes to raise a loan under the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926. The purpose for which the loan is required is:— For making and constructing j sewer drains and drainage works in the Borough of Hamilton including the purchase of any necessary land, materials, plant and tools, and payments for labour, engineers’ fees, plans and supervision and compensation to owners of property in respect to such sewer drainage works. The amount proposed to be borrowed is £IO,OOO. The proposed security for the payment of interest and sinking fund is a special rate of two twenty-fifths of a penny (2/25d) in the pound (£) on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough. It is* proposed that the loan shall be repayable in not more than thirty (30) years and to make provision for a sinking fund of not less than two pounds (£2) per centum per annum. It is not proposed to pay out of the loan any part of the interest or sinking fund charges, or the cost of raising the loan. Dated at Hamilton this 30th day of October, 1939. W. L. The loan is required for the purpose of recouping to the Garden Place Special Rating Area the cost involved in providing a level site at Garden Place for Civic Purposes. The amount proposed to be borrowed is £10,500. The proposed security for the payment of interest and sinking fund is a special rate of one tenth of a penny (l/10d) in the pound (£) on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough.
