AUSTRALIAN RACING

CONDITION OF TRACK FURTHER RAIN FORECAST (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Nov. 6, 3.15 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 6 Heavy rain fell during the weekend and the forecast is for further rain. The track is certain to be soft to-morrow. Despite Gold Salute’s poor Derby race the owner stated that the colt is certain to be a Cup runner. Procyon injured a groin in the Maribymong Plate and is to be given a long spell. Bourbon has been retired and goes to the stud. He has not broken down but a leg weakness makes it useless to persevere with training. The suspension of J. O’Sullivan for one month has necessitated a new rider in the Cooranga Cup and A. Breasley has been secured.
