EVENTB AT TE AWAMUTU There was a disappointing attendance or the public at the recent evening meeting or the Te Awamutu Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club, but the event was a success. Results were as follows: 100 Y’ards Handicap: K. Rickit, 6yds, i; D. Paul, 7yds, 2; L. White, tlyds, 3. There were seven starters, Rickit finishing strongly to win by a yard; hair a yard between second and third. Time. 10 4-ss. One Mile Cycle Handicap: J. McAneny, 200yds, 1; A. Coxhead. 170yds, 2; v. Veen, 30yds, 3. There was a hard finish. McAneny prevailing by a wheel. Veen delayed his effort and was 50 yards behind the second man. Time, 2.45. Hair-mile Hun: Phillips. 75yds, l; D. Paul 30yds, 2: K. Rickit, 50yds, 3. Seven started. Phillips won easily arter having It all his own way. Time, 2.11. Three Mile Cycle: V. Veen, 90yds. 1; a. Coxhead, 400yds. and J. McAneny. 420 yd€, dead heat, 2. At the end or the two miles the hack-markers *mt within striking distance of the field and Veen, after leaving Dalzlel, quickly caught the leaders ami bad the race in hand.
