CHARGE OF ROBBERY

PAY CLERK’S INJURIES (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday Charbed with robbing W. E. Parr of £250, and at the same time using personal violence toward him, Robert Milton, a labourer, aged 39, and Anthony Bradford, an engineer, aged 25, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. They were remanded until next Friday. Detective-Sergeant Doyle said the charges arose from an attempted robbery at the M.L.C. Buildings yesterday afternoon. He alleged that the accused attacked Parr, who was a pay clerk, and attempted to escape with the pay bag. Parr’s injuries made it unlikely that he would be in a condition to attend the Court for some time.
