Well placed Throughout the running Yours Truly, a consistent perrormer this season, took the lead at the raise rail to win going away rrom Capricious, who like the winner, was at good odds In the betting. Dictate finished well while Royal Chler, arter appearing to meet with a check hairway through the running, was making up ground In rhe deciding stages although he never looked like threatening the winner at the end. Yours Truly won really w*elJ and his time or 3.22 2-6 was a record -for the race. Early. Peerless and Lady Furst were prominent rrom Spartan and Parquet with Lowenberg and Second Innings the closest or the others In a fairly bunched field. Within a couple or furlongs, however, Second Innings shot to the lead and was followed at this siage by Lady Furst. .Mlshna. Centrepoise, Peerless, spartan and Dictate with Yours Truly handily placed on the rails, and Wagner. Parquet and Tooley Street bringing up the rear. At the mile peg Mlshna had run up behind second Innings and this pair was closely attended bv Laly Furst with Royal Chief now racing In the middle or the field. Seven furlongs from home Yours Truly commenced a forward move and at the six TurJong peg was lying third behind Second Innings Bnd Wagner, with .Mlshna and Dictate handy. He was right up behind Second Innings, making the home turn and soon wrested the lead from the latter’ to draw to the ffont at the raise nut and carry on from there ror an effortless victory oyer Capricious, who caine home well to beat Dictate. Royal Chief was a meritorious fourth.
