NEW TYPE TESTED APPARATUS SUCCESSFUL (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 3 According to the Rome radio a new type of German submarine was tested, and descended for 330 feet, where it remained for 30 minutes. Several members of the crew came to the surface safely in a test of the escape apparatus.
