YOUTHFUL MAORI DESIRE TO BE BUGLER (Special to Times) WHANGAREI, Friday Accompanied by a consent form from his parents, the Whangarei Army Office has received an enlistment form from a 16-year-old Maori lad, David Tapsell, son of Mr K. H. Tapsell, of Te Ahu Ahu, organiser for the Maori Labour Party in the Bay of Islands. The lad wants to be a bugler with the Maori Battalion. The consent form, which is signed j by both parents and witnessed by a I justice of the peace, reads: "Our con- ; sent is given in due respect of the fact that our son is very anxious to render his to the cause of liberty in the present struggle.
