LIQUOR IN HOUSE

FINE FOR ILLEGAL SELLING (Special to Times) v AUCKLAND, Friday The sale of liquor in a private house in Ponsonby where a pantry was fitted up as a bar, was responsible for the appearance in the Police Court to-day of Herbert William Bowyer, who pleaded guilty to two charges of selling liquor without a license on October 3 and October 6. The magistrate, Mr J. Morling, fined him £3O and costs on one charge and convicted and discharged him on the other. On a charge of aiding and abetting Bowyer in the commission of an offence on October 6 Mrs Bertie Adelaide Low, who also pleaded guilty, was fined £lO.
