THE SNOW QUEEN

| PETER PAN’S LETTER | = J)EAR GIRLS AND BOYS, = The Circle People? are feeling very excited for Guy Fawkes jj=j E day and crackers lie just over the blue horizon and there has E = been so many busy whispers and murmurs going on in the Circle j= E People’s office these last few days. The twins have, as usual, E 5 had their noses pressed to every shop window in town where = E there are crackers of every description and every time Peter goes E E to find those mischievous sprites, there they are with their red = E money-boxes open, counting up their brown pennies. The Wendy s E Person has bought lots and lots of crackers and skyrockets for = E Peter found them the other day wrapped in yards of brown paper E E and hidden beneath the Sunshine Girl’s Wardrobe and as Peter s E writes this letter to you he thinks of the simply enormous bon- E E fire which is waiting very patiently to be lit. The Twins have E 22 remade their Guy and now he looks a very fierce person with a E E very red nose and brightly coloured scarf and coat. □ u Such a boisterous mood the Wind Child has been in lately jjjj E hasn’t he and Peter has seen so many little people very busy E E chasing their caps and hats down the long streets. Peter’s lilac = E tree is beginning to look a little battered and worn and he feels E 2 so sorry to see the tiny fragrant petals of white and lavender = E lying on the ground. Then there are snowy white carpets be- E E neath the snowball trees and the crumpled petals look like a mist E E of white on the emerald lawn while here and there may be seen E E glimpses of delicate pink which are the petals of the cherry bios- E = som trees. The sweet Williams are in bloom too and such a bright E E splash of colour they make with their velvetty scarlet and pink E = petals rising from their pale green stems. The Sunshine Girl has E E such a lovely garden of sweetly scented stock in the most glori- E E ous shades of cyclamen and mauve and the loveliest scent is E E wafted on the wings of the Night Child. E E How many little people visited the show? Peter and the E E Circle People did and they had such a jolly time looking at all the E = animals and riding on the merry-go-round. The Twins loved the E E dog pavilion and Tony decided that he had to have a tawny brown = = mastiff when he grew older but Jenne thought she would much E E prefer a brown-eyed golden spaniel. The Wendy Person and the s E Sunshine Girl spent hours admiring the horses and they both E E want a white pony of their very own. But here comes the Printer Man again so lots of love to you E E all with hopes for jolly bonfires and lots and lots of crackers E E and Jumping Jacks of your very own. E E From yours, on-top-of-the-world. Ellllllllllllllllllllllllllll! HiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiT
