KAIPAKI FUNCTION

WELCOME HOME Many relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mr and Mrs Roy Speake, who recently returned from their honeymoon, to give them a warm welcome. After being received by Mr and Mrs Speake, and exchanging many congratulations, it was decided, owing to the size of the party, to adjourn to the Kaipaki Hall. Here an enjoyable time was passed m dancing and items. Mr W. Smillie rendered comic songs and anecdotes. During the evening, Mr A. M. Fisher, on behalf of all present, proposed the toast, “The guests of the evening,” and wished them health and happiness. It was responded to with musical honours. Mr Speake later returned thanks.
