HOLLYWOOD PLANS
WAR FILMS SPEEDED UP “HITLER, THE BEAST” Hollywood is speeding up its production of topical war-interest films. The most violently-titled, Ben Judell’s Producers’ Pictures, “Hitler, the Beast of Berlin,” is being rushed on to the floor. Warners are preparing “Eyes of the Navy,” “Sabotage in the Air,” “Stuff of Heroes,” “The Bishop Who Walked with God,” “Underground,” and “The Fighting 69th.” Twentieth-Fox have “20,000 Men a Year”; Paramount, “Navy Nurse” and “Air Raid”: Walter Wanger, “Personal History,” story of political intrigue. M.G.M. is to re-make “Journey’s End,” plans “I Had a Comrade,” and is ready with “Thunder Afloat.” Columbia, it is stated, may reissue “All Quiet on the Western Front” and its sequel, “The Road Back.” R.K.O. has “Nurse Edith Cavell” and Goldwyn “Disputed Passage.”
