THEFT OF JEWELS
MAHARAJA’S HEAVY LOSS AUCKLAND=SYDNEY RUN PASSENGERS SUFFER (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyrlg-Hl) SYDNEY, Nov. 3 Jewels valued at over £2500 were stolen from the suite of the Maharaja of Tripura when a United States liner which arrived yesterday was on its way from Auckland to Sydney. Other passengers reported thefts during the voyage. The police made a thorough search when the liner anchored, but the jewels were not found.
