LITERARY CIRCLE NIGHT VARIED PROGRAMME An entertaining and varied programme was presented on Tuesday night by the Literary Circle of the Lyceum Club, when an open evening was held in the lounge, which had been charmingly arranged with i bowls of crimson anemones, and arum lilies. Miss M. Bell, convenor of the circle, in a short welcoming speech, called upon various members to give extracts from papers prepared and read by them during the season, Mrs S. N. Bullock spoke on the famous Czechoslovakian playwright, Karel Capek, and Mrs F. J. Barretl read an interesting paper on Andre Maurois.
