PLANE CRASHES
MINOR INJURIES TO PILOT i»y Telegraph.—Press Association) TIMARU, Tuesday Minor injuries were suffered by Mr W. R. Willmott, ol Timaru, when a light aeroplane he was flying touched a telephone wire while attempting to land and crashed into a paddock at Pleasant Point. The aeroplane was badly damaged. The aeroplane was formerly owned by the late Sir Charles Kingsford Smith and was purchased by Mr Willmott a few months ago and reconditioned.
Mr Willmott was admitted to hospital, having lost several teeth and suffered a gash in the lower jaw.
