THEFT OF SUITCASE
YOUNG MAORI CHARGED MAGISTRATE ADJOURNS CASE Described by the police as having a formidable list, a Maori, Sam Repia, aged 19, farm hand, of Tirau. appeared before Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court, Hamilton, today, charged with the theft of two suitcases and their contents, of a total value of £44 8s 6d, the property of Mr Cyril Stewart James. Accused, who pleaded guilty, was represented by Mr N. S. Johnson. After a statement in which Repia admitted the offence had been read by Detective J. Hayes, the magistrate adjourned the case until November 9 so that further evidence could be taken.
