LOSSES AT SEA
SIX FRENCH MERCHANTMEN GERMAN SHIPS CAPTURED (United Press Assn.—Elec. Te!. Copyright) PARIS, Oct. 30 France lost six merchantmen, totalling 41,000 tons, in the first two months of the war.
Four German vessels were captured, one of which, the Halle (5889 tons), was sunk by the crew. France is employing the remainder, totalling 19,000 tons. French losses represent a reduction of 1 per cent in total tonnage.
