WOMEN’S DIVISION

TE AWAMUTU BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Te Awamutu branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the parish hall recently, when Mrs Wynyard presided over a fair attendance. Mrs Nickleson entertained with pianoforte solos after which tea was served by Pokuru and Te Kawa members. Competitions resulted as follows:—Article from one skein wool. Miss Grigg 1, Miss Erme 2; flower, Mrs Grigg and Mrs A. Kay 1, equal; fruit, Mrs Hinton; vegetable, Mrs Grigg; shrub, Mrs Grigg; camera study, Mrs Cullen 1, Mrs Kidd 2, Mrs Finn 3.
