MATAMATA GOLF CLUB (Special to Times.) MATAMATA, Monday. The Matamata Golf Club’s season was closed during tbe week-end. when trophies won during tbe period were presented. A large number competed in a mixed Canadian foursomes, played under ideal conditions. The winners were Mr and Mrs S. Mills, with 03 4, Mr and Mrs J. Simpson being runners-up with 66. Mr L. H. Little, president, congratulated the winners of the 08 trophies competed lor during the season, and Mrs Little presented the prizes. There were 33 individual winners. OKOROIRE TOURNAMENT Sixty-five players took part in an open tournament at Okoroire, G. Armstrong (Hamilton) being the winner with a record gross score or 134. lie created a course record of 65. 11. Ford < Matamata >. G. Burgess (Hamilton) and K. Kelly Hamilton; each returned 138, Burgess taking the runner-up trophy on a count back. The winning medal was won by It. Buisson (Hamilton), 63 nett, on a count-bark from G. L. Taylor, and the afternoon medal was won by K. kelly, with 63 nett
