HAMILTON RECRUITING

NUMBERS SLACKEN OFF MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS The pace of recruiting in the No. 4 military area has now become very slack, only nine new men having come forward yesterday. The total for the district since the outbreak of the war is 1259. Although very few new enrolments are being made, the progress is better than in many other parts of the Dominion. Ten men were medically examined yesterday, six being fit, three temporally unfit, and one permanently unfit. The following are names of additional recruits in the district who have enrolled in the last few days: George Edward Binnie, Harold Edward Booth, George Burman, Alan Lloyd Cato, Osmond Thomas Coleman, Alfred Franklin Humberstone, David Mcßobie Jameson, Ernest Charles Keyte, William Lionel Frederick Knapp, John Cullen Mann, Ronald Keith Moon, Allan Rush, Maurice Bransfield, Geoffery William Thomas. BROTHERS ENLIST FOUR IN MORRINSVILLE (Special to Times) MORRINSVILLE, Friday Volunteers for the special military force include four sons of Mr O. Redshaw, of Morrinsville. A fifth is serving in an anti-aircraft battery at Helensville and the youngest, who is not old enough to be accepted for the special force, is a member of a territorial unit. It is the hope of the older brothers to be drafted to the same unit.
