PETROL ISSUE
OCTOBER NUMBERS INCREASED ALLOWANCES (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, stated to-night that the Oil Fuel Controller had announced that during October holders of petrol coupons will be entitled to obtain supplies for coupons numbered four to eight, inclusive. This meant that those having two-gallon coupons might obtain 10 gallons for the month and motor-cyclists five gallons. The question of increasing the allowance for private cars during October was at present under consideration in relation to national security requirements.
