SLOANE DEFEATS PARRIS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The Australian Syd Sloane proved himself a clever boxer with a heavy right hand in scoring a technical knock-out over Billy Parris (Wellington) in the tenth round of a professional contest scheduled for 12 rounds tonight. A well-filled house enjoyed the contest, which was full of action because of Parris’ aggressive methods.
