GARDEN COMPETITION

CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION POSTERS AROUSE INTEREST Satisfactory entries are being received by the Hamilton Horticultural Society for the gardening competition which is being inaugurated to celebrate the Centennial in Hamilton. Miss Ida Carey’s pupils have designed a number of posters drawing attention to the competition, and these are displayed in the windows of local florists, where they have aroused considerable interest. The society hopes that further entries will come forward before the closing date, September 30. The competition should be encouraged by local gardeners and in fact by all citizens who take a pride in residing in a beautiful town like Hamilton. Entries wiJl be received by the local florists or by the secretary of the society, from whom the conditions of the contest may be obtained.
