Mr T. C. Gormley, of Hawera, is visiting the Waikato and is the guest of Mr W. T. Luxford, of Matangi.
Messrs N. McKinnon, G. McGregor (Auckland) and A. Horn (Levin) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
Sir John Reed, who reached the statutory retiring age in 1936, will finally retire from the Supreme Court Bench on September 30.
The King has appointed Group Captain the Hon. R. A. Cochrane as his air aide-de-camp. He served for a period in New Zealand.
