DOMINION AWARD BLANKET CLAUSE INOPERATIVE (By Tpipgraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Wednesday By a curious oversight the blanket provisions ordained by the Section V sub-section I of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, Number 11, 1937, are inapplicable to Dominion awards says the Court of Arbitration in a judgment which thus affects most Dominion awards made since the amending legislation was made. The provisions apply only to disputes within one industrial district, in that it refers only to applications under Section 41 of the principle act under which district awards only are made. The defendant in the case admitted a breach of the award, but denied being a party to the award.
