PROVINCIAL GOLF
AUCKLAND WOMEN’S TITLE MRS GLANVILLE STILL IN (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Thursday Mrs P. R. Glanville, of Te Awamutu, who headed the list of qualifiers in the Auckland provincial women’s golf championship tourney, survived both rounds of match play yesterday when the tourney was continued. The semi-finalists are: Mrs Glanville, Mrs G. F. Ferguson (Auckland), Mrs W. S. Ralph (Auckland) and Mrs J. M. Alison (Titirangi). In her matches yesterday Mrs Glanville defeated Mrs G. S. Laird (Maungakiekie) 5 and 4, and Miss M. SUvens (North Shore) 4 and 3. When you want a corkscrew and you have mislaid yours, get an ordinary long screw from your toolbox. screw this into the cork, tic a piece of string round the head, and you can pull out the cork easily. After your blanket has been washed and aired hang it on the line and lightly beat it. The result is that the beating rises the wool and fluff and your blanket is like new.
