PRICE OF PETROL

INCREASE PREDICTED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) HASTINGS, Wednesday A prediction that there would be a further increase in petrol prices was made in Hastings to-day by Mr J. P. Skoglund, No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority. Freight rates were bound to rise in the benzine industry itself, he said, and consequently the retail price of the commodity must be increased. In the United States the petrol price had been increased two cents, and it followed that there must be another rise in New Zealand.
