Mrs E. C. Sare will leave Hamilton on Friday to reside in Wellington.

Mrs English, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs A. H. Tompkins, Hamilton.

Mrs W. E. Burrow leaves Hamilton to-day to reside at Milford, Auckland.

Mrs D. H. Grimes, Hamilton, has reamed from a holiday at Devonport, Auckland.

Miss Queenie Warren, Auckland, is visiting Hamilton and is the guest of Mrs R. P. Hazard.

Miss G. Tompkins, formerly of Hamilton, is at present stationed at a hospital at Singapore.

Misses Merlyn Heerdegen and Marie Cook have returned to Hamilton after spending a few days at the Chateau.

Mrs C. Quick, Hamilton, has returned from a trip to Feilding, where she has been visiting her daughter, Mrs W. Horton.

Mrs Harry Matthews and Miss Rona Matthews, Hamilton, are visiting New Plymouth as the guests of Mrs R. J. Matthews.

Mrs E. Mcßeath has arrived in Hamilton from Gisborne to take over rehearsals of “The Runaway Girl,” the forthcoming production of the Hamilton Operatic Society.

It is announced that Miss Jessie Shaw, Kihikihi, has won the Australian Broadcasting Commission’s Cup in the open contralto championship of the Sydney Eisteddfod. Miss Shaw has been a pupil of Mr Roland Foster at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music during the last year. There were 154 entries in the contralto championship event, and Miss Shaw’s success is regarded as highly meritorious.
