HAZARDOUS FLIGHT

ESCAPE OF POLISH AIRMEN ARRIVAL IN ENGLAND WANT TO JOIN ALLIES (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 26 It is revealed that nine Polish airmen landed somewhere in England last night after a hazardous flight over the North Sea from Poland. The pilots took off from Warsaw last week while the city was being bombarded and had to dodge antiaircraft fire as they flew over the German lines.

One pilot, when interviewed, stated: “We want to join the forces of the Allies and fight again to help regain our country. We were continually chased during our journey and barely escaped destruction while crossing the frontier.”
