FUNDS FOR WAR WORK
RED CROSS SOCIETY RECITAL The Hamilton Red Cross Society’s souvenir programme for its recital, which is available today, is unique in every respect. The total proceeds of the recital will assist the great humanitarian work of the society, which is known throughout the world. The programme is attractive and no doubt will be kept as a souvenir. The items will appeal to all tastes, operatic, classical, string instruments, duets, dramatic, trios, minstrels, patriotic songs, etc., a variety not previously presented in Hamilton. The reputation of the artists is also outstanding. Miss Cecelia McLachlan, violinist, and Messrs W. Whitehead and K. Martin, pianists, have placed their talent at the disposal of the society. The First appearance in Hamilton of Mr and Mrs Tom Harvey is creating much interest, and it will be the musical event of the year. The officials of the Red Cross Society are to be congratulated on their initiative in presenting such a rare combination of talent. The recital will be held in tne Theatre Royal tomorrow, Thursday, evening. Although a large number of seats has been reserved it is possible that some people are still confused regarding the statements made relative to war funds. The Red Cross funds are not war funds. The society conlidently recommends everyone to attend this recital, firstly because the programme covers such a wide range, and secondly because the work of the Red Cross is worthy oi' the bcr-t efforts to raise funds. Seats may be reserved at the shop of Mr Bob Harris, next to the GJ.S.
