MATAMATA MATCHES CONCRETE CUP FINAL x (Special to Times) MATAMATA, Monday. The Matamata Rugby Football Club capped a successful ?eason by annexing the Concrete Cup (knock-out competition), defeating Hlnuera in the ilnal on Saturday. Matamata has now won the Matamata Cluh championship, the Concrete Cup, and the Binnie Cup, the latter against Old Boys, or Morrinsville. The game on Saturday was keenly fought and the result, 11 —7 in favour of 1 = Matamata. was a lair indication of the j run ol play. Points for the winners i were scored by G. Childs and K. Hamilton Juniors Win A junior representative game between Matamata and Hamilton resulted in a win lor the latter by 17 points to 16. The ! visitors were more enterprising than the | local team and fully deserved their win. In the first half Hamilton scored 12 | points to its opponent's 8. Matamata T< rallied in the second spell and had more si of the game than previously.
