HAMILTON ORPHANS
CLUB’S FINAL NIGHT The final night of the 20th year of the Hamilton Orphans’ Club was held on Saturday. The chair was taken by President Bro. Harold J. Baker, who welcomed the ladies and other visitors. The hall was filled to capacity and was prettily decorated. During the evening the president elected Bro. Vice-president E. L. Watkins a life member of the club for long and signal service to the cause of Orphandom. A suitable gold badge was presented to Bro. Watkins. • Items were given by the club’s orchestra under the baton of Bro. W. A. King, Mrs T. A. Edwards, song; Rex Walden, song; Miss Mary McKenzie, elocution; Misses Iris and Freda Aiken, duet; A. Tollerton (Auckland), humour and magic; Mrs Tibbett and Miss Brighouse, instrumental duet.
