DESTROYED BY FIRE

HISTORIC MEETING HOUSE (By Telegraph.—press Association) MASTERTON, Saturday Fire completely demolished the historic Te Ore Ore meeting house yesterday. Everything in the building was lost. The meeting house was a landmark in Te Ore Ore district, and was erected 60 years ago. It contained many carvings and other relics associated with the Maori race. Proposals had been on foot during recent months for remodelling the building and a fair amount of money had been raised for the purpose.
