BRITISH DESTROYER’S SUCCESS STORY OF STEAMER CAPTAIN (United Press Assn.—Elec. TeL Copyright) (Received Sept. 23, 3 p.m.) MONTREAL, Sept. 22 Captain Frederick Pickering, master of the United States steamer Steel Mariner, describes a British destroyer sinking a submarine disguised like a fishing boat between Twucan and the Sciilies on September 11. The submarine was apparently disabled and could not submerge.
