SINKING OF WARSHIP
FRENCH TRIBUTE TO MEN MAGNIFICENT SPIRIT SHOWN (Official Wireless) (Received Sept. 23, 1 p.m.) RL'GBY, Sept. 22 Mr Winston Churchill, First Sea Lord, has received a telegram from the French Minister of Marine, expressing admiration for the magnificent spirit of the men of H.M.S. Courageous and sympathy for the relatives of those who were drowned. Mr Churchill replied on behalf of the officers and men of the Royal Navy.
