FORECAST (By Government Meteorologist) The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist, covering the Walkato-Thames Valley is as follows Forecast: Unsettled; rain developing, some heavy falls probable, later showery. Temperatures cooler to-morrow. Seas rather rough, decreasing later on the east coast. General situation: Anti-cyclones are located to the east, and west, but a depression centred near Cape Maria Van Diemen is moving on to the North Island. Freshening north - easterly winds, changing later to westerly and decreasing.
