Flying Officer Greenaway, granted & permanent commission completing the armament training course, and qualifying for symbol A. The following granted temporary commissions and posted to No. 1 elementary flying school with the rank of Flying Officer.—A. W. Burbridge, F. J. Adams, A. W. Britton, L. F. Poore; with the rank of Pilot Officer. —P. C. Lewis, E. F. Holdaway, M. H. McKenzie, N. A. Suttie. Equipment Branch, Section I.—J. B. Price, with the rank of Flying Officer, to air headquarters; H. K. Tait, with the rank of Pilot Officer, to air headquarters; Sergeant Owen Wares, ditto. Section 2. —H. T. Grigg (Pilot Officer), for engineering duties. Instruction Appointments Special appointments for administrative and instructional duties.—G. E. Yates, with the rank of Flight Lieutenant, to the Ground Training School, Rongotai, as officer commanding the training squadron and education officer; S. R. Neal, with the rank of Flying Officer, to the Ground Training School, Rongotai, as navigation officer; P. B. Roebuck, with the rank of Flying Officer, to No. 1 Elementary Flying School as navigation officer. Lieutenant-Colonel A. J. Manson, M.G., Reserve of Officers, New Zealand Military Forces, to be attached, and is posted to air headquarters. Flying Officer R. J. R. 11. Makgill, R.A.F.0., is appointed to a temporary commission for the duration of the war, in present rank. Flight Lieutenant G. E. Blaney, M.C., is permitted to resign his commission on appointment to a commission in the Royal Australian Air Force Reserve. Equipment Branch The following are appointed to temporary commissions in the Equipment Branch (Section 2), as commissioned technical officers, with the rank of Flying Officer.—Warrant Officer A. T. Giles, to be commissioned engineer officer and posted O.G. Otahuhu Railway Workshop Aero Shop; Warrant Officer H. H .Smith to be commissioned engineer officer and posted as Workshops Officer, Hobsonville Depot; Warrant Officer A. E. Pope to be commissioned Armament Officer and posted as Armament Officer to the Trade Test Board, Ohakea Depot; Flight Sergeant A. Palmer to be commissioned Engineer Officer and posted as Workshops Officer, Hobsonville Depot; Flight Sergeant N. A. Year to be commissioned Engineer Officer and posted O.G. Dunedin Railway Workshops Aero Shop; Flight Sergeant A. L. Partelow to be commissioned Signals Officer and posted as Signals Officer, Blenheim.
