MONTHLY MEETING
TE AWAMUTU QIRL GUIDES TTiere was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Te Awamutu Girl Guides Committee. Mrs C. G. Downes presided. A new member. Mrs W. G. Smith, was welcomed. The acting-captain, M. Ross, in presenting the report, said that the roll was then 38 and out of this number 12 were recruits who were
almost ready to be enrolled. Four had completed their second class test .iid three child nurse badges and three health badges had been gained. A “penny games evening” was held on August 15 and a profit of 17s 4d had been made, the evening being a great success. Arrangements were being made for l church parade to be held at the Methodist Church next month. It was then mentioned that Captain Bowler was to visit Te Awamutu as soon as the new guides were enrolled.
