Copyright) (Received Sept. 22, 11 a.m.) BERLIN, Sept. 21 The German High Command reports that the result of the battle of Vistula is still not ascertainable. As far as is known, nine Polish divisions, parts of ten further divisions and three cavalry brigades are still fighting. Strong Polish forces have surrendered in the south, among which is the Commander-in-Chief of the southern Polish army. It is announced that the Iron Cross has been conferred on 40.000 Polish campaigners within a week. A communique states that the Polish prisoners taken on the northern
front total 170,000 and are steadily increasing. The total number of prisoners taken throughout Poland is 350,000. BUCHAREST, Sept. 21 Official: General Smigly-Hydz, Polish commanaer-in-Onief, will be interned for the duration of the war. ROME, Sept. 21 A wireless message states that the Poles are still holding out at Gdynia. Furthermore, Modlin has not fallen. Copyright) (Received Sept. 23, 11 a.m.) BERLIN, Sept. 21 The official news agency describes the British and French reports of a revolt in Bohemia and Moravia as completely unfounded. It adds that as reported at the time isolated arrests were made at the beginning of the war in order to ward off the ’ machinations of Dr. Benc's clique.’’
