PLANS TO CONTINUE

RECREATION WEEK WAR WIDENS THE SCOPE (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) WELLINGTON, Thursday Expressing the opinion that the outbreak of war had widened the field of helpfulness for the organisation of physical welfare and recreation work, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, said that there would be no cessation of activities for National Recreational Week, September 29 to October 7. “The idea to keep fit and well, specially at this time,” said Mr Parry, “is in line with one of our most important activities. Even a little thought by any reasoning New Zealander will surely convince him that the decision to go on with Recreation Week is in all ways in the interests of the country.”
