HAMILTON ATHLETIC CLUB HI NEMO A PARK ADVOCATEL ■“During the year the committee made persistent appeals to the Hamilton Domain Board and the Hamilton Borough Council to have the Hinemoa. Park .ground converted into a stadium,'' said Mr A. H. Malcolm, president of the Hamilton Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club, in his report to the annual meeting of the club, held in the Y.M.C.A. last night. ' Plans were drawn up by the club and a detailed scheme was presented to these bodies, but unfortunately without success," he continued. “The Domain Board has at present a scheme for making use of spoil from Garden Place to terrace sides of Hinemoa Park and to make a stadium at Galloway Park. The club's committee has opposed the Galloway Park project and is fighting to have Hinemoa Park made into a stadium." Commenting on the sound position of the club, Mr Malcolm said there were 100 members excluding officials, and every member was financial. Through the efforts of the club captain. Mr R. B. Joyes. the American coach, A. L. Fitch, had given instruction to members. The financial position of the club was sound. List of Officers The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr N. H. Thompson; club captain, Mr R. B. Joyes, vice-captain, Mr L. D. Irwin; starter, Mr C. G. Smythe; assistant, Mr A. H Malcolm; handicapper, Mr D. Reid; delegates to the Waikato sub-centre, Messrs R. B. Joyes and C. J. Thompson; records steward, Mr J. Bartlett; timekeepers, Messrs F. Buckingham, F. E. Mason, L. Denz and E. S. Sherman; judges, Mr E. Friedlander, A. Haggle, C. Coombes, G. Wood, C. J. Thompson, R. Spiers, H J. B. Hall; marksman, Mr J, W. Bartlett; assistant. Mr R. Thompson; press steward, Mr R. L. Manderson; gear steward, Mr J. W. Taylor; announcer, Mr R. L. Manderson; manager for meetings, Mr C. J. Thompson; club coaches, Messsrs R. B. Joyes, J. Ferguson, R. O. Johnson, C. J. Thompson and F. Buckingham; committee, Messrs J. Ferguson, 0. Bogun, C. J. Thompson, F. Buckingham. A. Haggle, D. Reid, R. o. Johnson. B. Wilson, C. P. McOnie, J. Rowe, C. C. Goodwin, L. D. Irwin and A. E. Graham. Twenty four new members were elected. Annual subscriptions were fixed as follows: Seniors, 10s; juniors, ss; women, 2s 6d.
