RUSSIA’S ACTION
VIEWS OF LITTLE NATIONS SOME ADVANTAGES FORESEEN .United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyrlgnu (Received Sept. 21, 12.10 p.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 20 The 1 Budapest correspondent of the Associated Press of America says that five little nations in south-eastern Europe, although most of them are bitterly opposed to a Russian regime, hailed the news of Moscow’s renewal of active participation in Balkan affairs as a chance to break Germany’s economic stranglehold in south-east Europe—Hungary and Rumania are doubtful. Turkish reports indicated that not only will the Foreign Minister, M. Saracoglu, have friendship talks in his impending visit to Moscow, but will also try to secure better RumanianRussian relations in order to offset Nazi influence in Bucharest.
BELGRADE,' Sept. 20
Press reports stated that from the viewpoint of the balance of power, the Russian development is not without advantages. It will have “counterbalancing effect.”
Yugoslavia is seeking a non-aggres-sion pact with Russia. Bulgaria is apparently taking seriously the intimations that Russia will restore to Bulgaria the Dobrudja which was taken by Rumania in the last war. Only Hungary and Rumania look askance at the newly-created borders with Russia.
