“ END THE WAR ”

SENSELESS AND CRIMINAL ANTNNAZI BROADCAST GET RID OF HITLER (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 20 The German Freedom Party’s secret radio station broadcast last night urging the German people to end the “senseless and criminal war into which we have been plunged by Hitler.” The broadcast continued: “Germans, Ihe sooner we get rid of our criminal regime the sooner we shall have peace. Soldiers, do not fight at the front but direct your arms against the culprits. Workers, every gun you make helps to prolong the war. Sabotage the production of arms and you will help our light for freedom, dignity and peace.”

The announcer asserted that 1000 members of the Nazi Party and 60 sub-leaders had already been executed for anti-war activities.

He added: “There will shortly be a rising against the regime of war and aggression.”
