WAR WILL GO ON DETERMINATION OF FRANCE ITALY DISAPPOINTED (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) PARIS, Sept. 20 The Government issued a statement that Herr Hitler’s speech was an attempt to justify himself before the German people for dragging them inti war. The Government accused him of wanton lying, and also resorting to his timeworn manoeuvre of attempting to split Britain and France. The Allies will never permit Herr Hitler a victory, which would condemn the world to slavery and the ruin of moral values. The war will go on until Hitlerism Is crushed. ROME, Sept. 20 Herr Hitler’s speech offers no hope of peace, and there is considerable disappointment in Rome. It is noted that he never mentioned the Berlin-Rome Axis.
Also, there is some uneasiness at Herr Hitler's failure to make any promises regarding the Balkans, which are considered in Rome to be the next danger point.
